We are examining the experiences of early-career scholars in four disciplines (biology, economics, physics, psychology) to understand how scholars’ climate perceptions affect their productivity and career attitudes. We have developed discipline-specific reports to more widely share our findings beyond traditional academic outlets. It is our hope that reports such as these (and future podcasts) can help to create more inclusive climates at the department and professional field levels, and in turn increase the retention of scholars from marginalized groups.
